Cornwell Manor is a dream of a house…quoted by Country Life as the prettiest house in England, it sits in its own rural paradise boasting a private village and 2,000 acres of Cotswold countryside. This private home happens to be superbly situated between Daylesford Organic Farmshop and the pretty market towns of Stow on the Wold and Chipping Norton, and for those who can, it’s not a million miles away from the private members club Soho Farmhouse .The surrounding area is host to some of the best pubs in the country, (The Kingham Plough & The Wild Rabbit to name but a couple). Tourist hot spots Blenheim Palace and Stratford upon Avon are within easy reach for a day out and London is accessible by direct train from Kingham in 90 minutes. 

This classical Georgian fronted manor sleeps 24 people in 12 double bedrooms, two with four posters, six with ensuites. It has an impressive entrance hall, an elegant drawing room, a panelled dining room, a whole host of fireplaces and even a ballroom for larger parties, seating up to 70 for dinner and 140 for dancing.

Outside, there is a huge heated swimming pool, tennis court and croquet lawn. The gardens, designed by Clough Williams-Ellis (as seen in The Holiday) are a dream come true, with a haha, a lake view and plenty of topiary. Every aspect is a picture of quintessential England from a bygone era. 

The house comes with a live- in couple who will cook and cater to your needs, a daily housekeeper and a couple of gardeners: nothing is too much trouble and yet no-one will disturb your reveries.

Available for exclusive private hire only, with a minimum 3 night stay at weekends from £3,500 + VAT per night, this graceful home offers you a glimpse into a privileged, very British way of life, rarely seen. 

The house is also host to a select number of weddings (with a church on site or the ballroom for civil ceremonies) and marquee events over the summer months and a shoot over the winter.
